Construction Tools

Colorful speckled coating spray gun, air compressor, mixer, roller, brush, grid tape, masking tape, protective film, scraper, sandpaper, file, etc. (Tools should be prepared according to project requirements.)

Application of Water-in-Water Coating

(Methods may vary based on project design)

Pre-Construction Wall Inspection and Environmental Requirements

  • Before construction, the wall surface should have a completed putty layer. The surface must be solid, clean, free from cracks, peeling, dust, hollows, lime bursts, poorly adhered old coatings, and oil stains. The wall moisture content should be less than 5%.
  • The environmental temperature should be above 8°C, and relative humidity should be below 75% RH.

Standard Construction Steps

  1. Roll/ spray primer (one coat).
  2. Use line coating and grid tape to create line divisions on the wall as needed. Remove the grid tape after Step 4 (optional).
  3. Roll/ spray background coating (one coat).
  4. Spray water-in-water coating (two coats).
  5. Roll/ spray finish coat varnish (one coat).

Precautions During Application

  1. Before large-scale application, spray 1–2 square meters on the wall to confirm the color and effect match the standard sample board. Proceed with large-scale construction only after confirmation.
  2. For large-scale application, grid effects should be implemented, and suspended baskets should be used instead of scaffolding to avoid shadowing.
  3. It is recommended that the same batch of coating is applied by the same team of workers on the same wall surface to maintain consistency in appearance and prevent uneven coloring.
  4. Stir the product thoroughly before use. Water-in-Water Coating can not be stirred with a machine (mixer), can only be stirred by hand with a wooden stick and other tools, and apply using a Colorful speckled coating spray gun. This product does not require dilution.
  5. Construction is strictly prohibited when environmental temperatures are below 8°C, relative humidity is above 70% RH, or during rainy, foggy, or windy weather, as these conditions may affect the coating’s formation.
  6. During breaks or after application, seal any unused coating tightly to prevent it from drying out in the barrel. Clean tools and clothing promptly; otherwise, dried coating will be difficult to remove.
  7. It is recommended to reserve 3-5 barrels of material for future maintenance.

Coating Drying Time

(Under conditions of temperatures above 8°C and relative humidity not exceeding 70% RH)

  • Primer: Drying time is at least 4 hours. Apply natural stone coating only after the primer is fully dried.
  • Background Coating: Drying time is at least 4 hours. Apply the water-in-water coating only after the background coating is completely dry.
  • Water-in-Water Coating: Full drying time is at least 48 hours. For recoating, wait at least 12 hours. Apply the finish coat only after the water-in-water coating is completely dry.
  • Finish coat: Drying time is 2 hours.
  • After application, the wall requires a natural curing period of 7 days.
